As a luxury wedding planner I have the privilege of working throughout the year in beautiful venues or locations all over the UK but I can’t help but love a stylish London wedding. There is so much to consider when looking for a venue and every couple will be looking for something slightly different - You might be surprised to hear there is still so much choice as to where you host your big day within the city.
I have put this list together to give couples an idea as to what is available city-wide when looking for a luxury or modern wedding venue in London.
THE NED
The Ned’s luxurious reputation has travelled far and wide, and members fly from across the world to wine, dine and celebrate in its selection of social spaces. This exclusive member’s club setting is suitable for micro weddings, and all the way up to 200+ guest receptions. Expect a superior level of service and attention to detail throughout your stay and unobstructed views of London from the roof terrace.
WOODS QUAY
A new, and already favourite London wedding venue of mine. Woods Quay is an extraordinary new building moored on the Thames; basking in the revered riverscape from Waterloo Bridge towards Westminster & beyond. The venue is made up of 4 different but connected spaces, with plenty of opportunities to be creative with.
KEW GARDENS
Located in Richmond, London Kew boasts a variety of spaces for different sizes of wedding celebration, whether you choose the Orangery, the Greenhouses or the Temperate House, a wedding at Kew Gardens is very special. Paired with the beautiful architecture a wedding at Kew Gardens can be suitable for a whole variety of different wedding styles.
DARTMOUTH HOUSE
With its beautiful interiors, grand marble staircase and private courtyard, this elegant mansion in the heart of Mayfair is the perfect setting for an exclusive, quintessential London wedding. The house is licensed to hold civil ceremonies and has a range of rooms suitable for both intimate gatherings, ceremonies for up to 100 guests, seated receptions of 150 or standing parties for up to 450.
THE MANDRAKE
An incredible 5-star boutique hotel in London; said to be inspired by the gardens of Babylon, with open air areas and incredible spaces throughout it is most definitely one of a kind. You wouldn’t be wrong in thinking you’ve been transported to London’s very own Bali. Prices are available on request.

One of the most beautiful country estates in England – and the last privately owned one in London – Syon Park is the ideal luxury wedding venue and only 25 minutes from the city center. Adorned with palms, exotic flowers and trees, this stunning precursor to the original Crystal Palace can host 150 to 160 seated guests for dinner, or up to 200 for a standing buffet affair during the evening.
