H & J . WEDDING

Boconnoc, Cornwall

From the moment we first spoke to Rebecca until the very last moment we were checking out of Boconnoc, Rebecca has been such a support - we genuinely couldn’t have done it all without her. Everything on the day was perfect, from the styling to all of the amazing suppliers she introduced us to.

H & J wanted a fun, yet polished, wedding in the countryside of Cornwall that encompassed their personality and personal style throughout. Great food, out of the box entertainment and a muted colour palette were things we focused on in order to bring this celebration to life.

The night before the wedding H & J hosted a pizza party in the courtyard at Boconnoc Estate.

This historic estate boasts a grand Georgian mansion, nestled amidst the idyllic countryside of Cornwall; Boconnoc stands as a truly enchanting wedding venue. With its timeless charm, picturesque landscapes, and rich history, Boconnoc offers couples an exquisite setting to exchange their vows and create lasting memories.

The ceremony was conducted at the church on site at Boconnoc, with a single pillar of florals to welcome guests and wild floral meadows lining the aisle.

The florals were an important design element for our Bride and florist Grace Smith worked with blousy, fluffy flowers in order to bring our vision to life. Texture really was key to ensuring our design had personality as we adopted a completely muted palette throughout.

A station featuring local hand-dived scallops surprised guests before they found their seat at the table via escort cards with personal messages from the newly weds - just some of the details we implemented to ensure H & J had a wedding that was unique to them.

We continued the design through to the dining space with a romantic and timeless set up, including more ruffled roses, tall tapered candles and texture heavy details.

H & J had always wanted to customise every part of their wedding day; more surprises for the guests came in the form of an R & B mid-dinner set by one of our favourite bands, The Distractions and an alfresco cake (pavlova) cutting out on the Boconnoc lawns at cocktail hour.

The Bride wore a stunning Suzanne Neville gown, that when accessorised provided three individual looks - initially paired with stunning puff sleeves and a veil.

After being treated to a gorgeous golden hour, of course, the guests partied in style!
