Without Rebecca we wouldn’t have had a perfect wedding. Best money we have ever spent!

M & A wanted a classic but fun celebration that was undeniably ‘them’, and after viewing many manor houses in The Cotswolds they decided on beautiful Kin House as their backdrop for their special day.

The night before the wedding they hosted a welcome dinner for their nearest and dearest in the Hearth Room at Kin House. We wanted to have fun with the decor and ensure it was completely different from the wedding day - in order to achieve this we really leant into the interior design of the Hearth Room (created by Barlow & Barlow); incorporating lots of colour, modern decor pieces and simple but fun stationery.

Kin House is a recently restored Georgian manor house in The Cotswold’s and features on my list of top UK wedding venues, within easy reach of London by train, and only 25 minutes by car from Bristol. Surrounded by 10 acres of gardens and private woodland there is so much flexibility at Kin House when planning a wedding here - read more about it here.

When creating a design plan for M & A, the inspiration was wild and whimsical while keeping it classy with traditional elements.

We enhanced the features of the Garden Room at Kin House by installing soft draping and overgrown florals along the aisle, finishing with the focal point - an asymmetric arch of locally grown flowers and foliages.

We continued the design through to the dining space with a further fabric installation; again with the same woodland and whimsical design brief. In order to create coverage and a cohesive feel we had real trees brought in to give the illusion of them growing upwards to form the canopy above.

Elsewhere we kept design simple and classy; featuring menus with monogram embossed detailing, long tapered candles and floral bowls that allowed enough room for sharing platters of food.

M & A loved that Kin House not only provided an incredible backdrop for an event but also the most beautifully curated spaces for both the Bride and Groom to get ready in. The dressing room has all of the features needed the morning of a wedding including hair-washing basins, natural light and fridges for your champagne whereas the barber room is the most perfect addition for any Groom.

Guests enjoyed entertainment from the Bristol String Quartet throughout the day and the Bride stunned in a classical Suzanne Neville gown paired with a gorgeous column veil and an unstructured bouquet by Wizz and Wild.

Is it any surprise that the guests partied in style?

Trees dripping in Polaroid pictured of the couple, a cake adorned with pearls and an old-school photo booth were all details that made the couple’s night about them and their personality.
